Amish children only go to school through the 8th grade. All the grades attend together in a one-room schoolhouse like this one.
Notice the scooters out front. It's very common to see both Amish children and adults riding scooters as a means of transportation.

Old Order Amish are forbidden to own cars and they travel in horse-drawn buggies.

The day begins around 4:30 a.m. in an Amish household, with everyone turning in for the night around 8:30 p.m.

It's considered disrespectful to take posed photographs of the Amish. Based on a biblical reference, they do not take pictures or pose for pictures. However, this commercial buggy driver was an exception.
An Amish man does not shave his beard after he is married. Mustaches are forbidden. And Amish women never cut their hair.
